Ishy here again 👋🏿

I use design as a tool to solve problems and I absolutely love it!

I take pride in being problem-focused, devising impactful solutions and continuously improving my craft. My scientific background enables me to amalgamate my naturally inquisitive, analytical & detail oriented mindset with the critical thinking & problem-solving aspects of user-centered design.

The development of my inquisitive mindset started from a young age where I questioned everything, from how our bodies functioned to the components of materials we used in our everyday lives. This led to the sciences becoming my favourite subjects at school, eventually graduating with a degree in Chemistry & Business Studies from The University of Warwick. Aspects of Product Design including understanding human psychology, undertaking research, creating hypotheses, running experiments and analysing data makes me see Product Design as predominantly a science & so I am thrilled to be doing what I do.

About me (1).png

I most recently worked at Triptease - A global SaaS startup building software for the hotel industry empowering them to increase revenue, drive more direct bookings and compete against OTAs (Online Travel Agencies). Working within a hybrid UX/UI role, I adopted an iterative user-centred design process to define, design and iterate on multiple features for a self-serve web platform that allowed clients to create targeted, personalised messages to display to visitors on their hotel website. This required me to design for both B2B and B2C purposes, ensuring the platform was intuitive to use for clients, and that the messages they publish will not have a detrimental effect on the experience of visitors to their website. I collaboratively worked within multi-disciplinary teams alongside Product Managers, Software Engineers & Data Scientists as well as working closely with external teams including Customer Success, Sales, Marketing and Product Marketing across the London, New York & Singapore offices.

Here are what some of my previous colleagues have had to say about me:

...and here are pictures of me conquering my fear of extreme sports by going paragliding near Mount Fuji in Japan. My family members still don’t know that I did this (until they look at my portfolio):
